Adult Education

Help facilitate a community of learners; intellectually open, spiritually honest and Joyful.
Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Enhance the experience for each of the families going through B'nai Mitzvah by providing mentoring, process improvements, and updated materials given to each of the families. Additionally, the committee is responsible for assigning Bar/Bat Mitzvah ushering dates.
College Youth

Keep college students connected to each other, the Temple community and Judaism while they are away from home.
Congregational Relations

Create social connections among the congregants of Kol Ami and organize events that are not necessarily religious in nature, to provide an opportunity for members to get to know each other, with the goal of serving the spiritual and communal needs of the congregation.
Drama Club

Provide a fun and safe environment for our children to learn acting, singing and dancing skills.
Dues/Fees Review
David Okun and Debbi Marcus
Review and adjudicate requests from members for reduced dues and fees based on financial hardship; periodically follow up on uncollected, past due amounts from members throughout the year.

Israel
David Gravitz
Promote Israel and Israeli speakers; encourage travel to Israel and use of Israeli products; support worthwhile Israeli organizations; work with other White Plains synagogues on Five Synagogues of White Plains Israel Action Committee (IAC).
Interfaithful

Plan activities and build relationships with people of other faiths in our community.
Membership

Introduce prospective members to Kol Ami; take them through the "joining" process; welcome them; encourage involvement; retention of existing members.
New Member Network
The New Member Network is dedicated to bringing new members into the Temple and integrating them into the congregation. We follow up personally to all inquiries, and put those people on our mailing list. All prospective members receive the Connection and flyers for Temple events. We advertise in the local papers, run coffees and have special Shabbat services for prospective members. We work with members of our Early Childhood program, and invite those families to Temple events, as well. New Member Network is an extention of Membership. We welcome each new member and send a hand delivered package of wine, challah, etc. We run the back to school picnic, and help out at many other events to which new and prospective members are invited.
Religious School

Support the religious school in a nurturing and dynamic way, carefully consider programming, curriculae, and fundraising to support the school.
Retreat

Planning annual congregational retreat.
Social Action
Wendy Greenberg & Jodi Klein
Provide goods, services and money to those most needy including the elderly, the hungry, the sick, the poor and those fighing in our military. Help those as far away as New Orleans, South Africa, Iraq and our beloved Israel and as near as local homeless shelters and nursing homes. We have knitted, sang, cooked, fed, clothed, painted, walked and collected. Commermorations made to the Fund for the Needy also help our efforts.
Worship

In partnership with the clergy, work to continue to present meaningful worship experiences for all ages and levels of ability, look for innovative ways to increase opportunities to broaden worship experiences; review and develop worship materials to meet our ongoing needs; help maintain a vigorous and relevant musical component to our services; endeavor to respond promptly and thoughtfully to congregational ideas, requests, and concerns regarding the worship service.
