During the current crisis in Israel there are many ways that congregants can help Israel. Some of these are:

  • Visit Israel! If you can bring packages over for troops or victims of the war, that would be an additional mitzvah
  • Help Bonnie and Eric Eilen pack boxes for Israeli troops
  • Donate to your favorite Israeli causes. Some suggested links can be found on the Kol Ami website You can also find links to the Israel
  • Emergency Fund at www.urj.org and www.arza.org
  • Knit caps for Israeli soldiers – join Mitzvah Knitz or contact Elaine Cohen for instructions
  • Buy Israeli products online at www.whiteplainsforIsrael.com or at stores
  • Support Israeli-owned businesses and companies
  • Write to President Bush and other government officials thanking them for their support of Israel
  • Write letters to the editors of newspapers and magazines supporting Israel
  • Join ARZA (Association of Reform Zionists of America). This can be done through the Temple office
